Join us for the 1st Annual Miles for Mommies Memorial/Awareness Walk in memory of Lacie Ring.

In memory of Lacie (Cole) Ring, a mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend, teacher, co-worker, and heart sister.  This walk is in memoriam of Lacie who passed away unexpectedly after battling a condition called Peripartum Cardiomyopathy (PPCM), a type of heart failure that is brought on by pregnancy. After Lacie was diagnosed, she became the Alabama Representative for The Save the Mommies organization who works to raise awareness for PPCM so that no mamas that are experiencing symptoms are pushed aside and that their heart failure is recognized before it is too late. Lacie’s mission was to make sure all expecting mamas, their families, the public, and medical communities were educated and aware of their symptoms and felt empowered to advocate for themselves and their families. She was a fighter and was fighting for the lives of every expecting mama and baby, including her own. Lacie will always be remembered for her selflessness, compassion, boldness, humor, advocacy, and love for life. She was a bright light who brought joy and laughter to everyone she met. Her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
